| Active Directory (AD) is a technology created by Microsoft that provides a variety of network services, including:
* LDAP-like directory services
* Kerberos-based authentication
* DNS-based naming and other network information
This SonicWALL signature identifies legitimate Active Directory Replication traffic. This detection is based on a UUID found during an RPC call. Due to the lack of documentation, it is not always possible to determine the exact version of an application based on UUIDs.
