Download Accelerator Plus (also known as DAP) is a download manager for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. It uses multipart downloads to increase speeds, creating multiple connections for different file segments.

This SonicWALL signature identifies legitimate Download Accelerator Plus traffic. This signature can be used to prevent this type of traffic or for bandwidth management when used in the Application Firewall feature.
