Google Drive is a new cloud storage solution by Google. The service allows indexed searches on the content of the files that you store.

This SonicWALL signature identifies legitimate HTTP requests to upload to drive.google.com. This signature blocks file uploads to Google Docs/Drive when DPI-SSL CI is enabled.

For this signature to be effective DPI-SSL Client Inspection must be enabled. When DPI-SSL is enabled, only applications that allow SSL certificates to be imported as a Root Certificate Authority (CA) will continue to function properly. For example, Firefox web browser allows users to import a Root CAs from the SonicWALL DPI-SSL. Other applications like Google Chrome and the Google Drive downloadable app do not allow this, and therefore will not work under DPI-SSL.
