iSCSI, or the Internet Small Computer System Interface, is an IP-based storage networking standard to connect data storage resources. iSCSI facilitates data transfers over intranets, LANs, and WANs. iSCSI also allows clients to transmit SCSI commands to storage targets on remote servers.
