IBM DB2 is an IBM relational database management system that is available in several versions or licensing set-ups. DB2 can be administered from either a GUI or the CLI, and it supports both SQL and XQuery. DB2 also has available APIs for numerous programming languages. IBM's DB2 shares competitive space with Oracle and Microsoft's SQL Server.
