FlashTrack is an IE browser helper object. It monitors web pages viewed and terms entered into forms on search engines.
Comments:FlashTrack/FTApp is the original version, with the program files being written to C:\\Program Files\\FTApp (regardless of where your actual Program Files folder is). FlashTrack/flt, a newer variant, installs into C:\\Program Files\\flt instead.
Removal Instructions:FlashTrack installs its software in a directory called 'ftapp' or 'flt' inside your Program Files directory. Before you can delete it, you must deregister it and restart the computer. On Windows 95/98/Me, enter this command at the command line: "%WinDir%\\SYSTEM\\regsvr32.exe" /u "C:\\Program Files\\ftapp\\ftapp.dll" For Windows NT/2000/XP, use: regsvr32 /u "C:\\Program Files\\ftapp\\ftapp.dll" If you have the newer variant, use the path "C:\\Program Files\\flt\\flt.dll" instead. After rebooting and deleting the files you can also remove the FTApp or flt key from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software in the registry to clean up if you like.
